TO PERTH, SCOTLAND

The journey from Newcastle was long.

Our first stop was Alnwick Castle, the castle used in the first film of Harry Potter.

I explored the castle and its grounds.

After that, we drove to Lindisfarne and I explored the ruined monastery.  The famous Lindisfarne gospels were created here in the Dark Ages.

Finally, we reached Perth, where we staying for the next three nights.  Our apartment was a basement one, but still got light from big windows.  It was well equipped and quiet at night.  The park opposite was extensive.  

All in all a good spot to spend a few days.
