Vancouver-LAX September 28th-29th

It was very wet in Vancouver when we arrived at our Bed and Breakfast, O'Canada House.  What a find!  We were welcomed by Danny, who let us leave our luggage in the living room, put the fire on and invited us to make hot drinks and have a cookie.

When we had relaxed and caught up on home news, we decided to go to the local market and then to catch the ferry to Granville Island.

The market was mostly food so we walked to the ferry.  It was still raining.  When we got to the market, it was crowded.  We found something to eat.  After that, we looked around.  I bought a few things before we decided to catch the bus back to town

It started raining extremely heavily while we were on the bus.  When we got off, we went to Starbucks for shelter.  Then we walked to a mall to dry off.

We made our way home to pack as we were leaving for LA in the morning but we got chatting to a couple of Aussie ladies while we relaxed.  They had been travelling in Canada as well.

When it was time, we walked downtown for dinner.  Our first choice had an hour waiting so we moved on.  We settled for a pancake place.  My meal was not available so they did not charge me for my food.

After dinner, as we were walking home, I saw a SKUNK!  I have never seen a real one before.

We continued home and then it was time to pack.

Airports, customs etc!! Again.  This would be our second last flight before the flight home, thank heaven.

Our accommodation at LAX was average but had everything we needed for an overnight stop.

We went to Panda Express for dinner.

We had to get up really early to catch the QANTAS flight to JFK.

We caught the 6.30 shuttle, checked in really easily, went to the QANTAS Club until it was time to board.

The last flight for almost three weeks.

Over the snow capped Rockies.
