Bev and Terry's travels to PARIS, UK and IRELAND August - September 2014

We began our journey on a wet Sydney Sunday afternoon.  The family farewells at the airport over, we were headed on our way.

After completing customs and screenings, we headed for the gate to await departure.

Our plane was being readied for the trip.

Our first refuelling stop was Singapore.  Time to stretch the legs for a bit before being screened again and re boarding for the long flight to London, Heathrow.
In thirteen hours or so we arrived at Terminal 5 which is fairly new, clean, has shops and restaurants to while away the time.

After a three hour wait, it was time to board the plane to Paris.
The flight was short, customs and immigration procedures quick and, in no time, we were heading by taxi to our Parisian address.

When we reached the apartment building, we had to wait for our agent who arrived 1/2 hour late.
Finally we were home for the next week.

Our view over Quai de Valmy:
